ok. i actually typing word by word here. really. literally.
coz i'm chatting with.....1 2 .........5 people at one go.
haha.
if there were muscles building for fingers, i might have won.
got to type so many words in such a short period of time.
chat blog chat blog.
thats what i'm doing now. at 2340hrs.
ok ndp is finally over.
wow.
4 mths of training all worth it.
all the sweat, tears, body pains, glare from the sun, the tanned arm, was really worth it.
let me blab about the parade itself.
everyone esp those went thru ndp before said its really going to be a different feeling when you are in there. and you feel something that you will never feel before. but i didnt feel anything actually. from the last rehearsal, to the last time doning the no1 uniform for ndp 07, from the moment we form up to march to Marina. nothing was felt.till.....
till we were at mariana itself. hearing the crowd. we have heard crowds from National Education Shows and Preview but it seem, or should i say, it sounds different on that day. all the marching contigent were under the seating gallery who were ready to march in for the parade segment were all smiles when the parade sergeant major calls the supporting contigents to march in
the supporting contigents went in first, and the GOH contigent gave thier loudest SHOUT showing them our support for them. as they left, its our turn to form up at our march off point and wait to be called in by the Parade Commander. it was nothing actually. really. it was just like previous rehearsals. then the moment of truth, the Parade Commander called us in, "KAWALAN KERHORMATAN, MASOK BARIS!!!"....thats where the feeling that i never felt before came into my body and posses it..its like butterflies, but it aint, just bigger and better and there will be something running up ur spin. wow...
everyone was either shaking each other hands or patting each other backs to wish luck. i did just that and spent some time praying, praying that what we have trained for will be displayed will flawless precision.
and as we march into the parade, those left behind under the seating gallery gave THIER loudest cheers. esp those POLICE officer doing duty there. they went, "BAIK AH POLICE!! GO MAKE US PROUD."
my eyes actually watered as my dream is finally coming true and looking at the beautiful sky as we march in. the crowd roared as it was thier first time seeing something so unique. i actually wanted to daydream u know, but i kept telling myself to stay focus.
and when we halt and faced the audience, i was like wow, ok. this is it. stay focus, do your best faizal. yah. self praises are the best at times.
now comes the part where everyone saw me. the part when President Nathan came and we had to sing the national anthem. the camera caught me, i dont know how long or how it was shot, but i heard it caught me. and during that time, i remembered i was singing my hearts out, with tears in my eyes. Never i sang so passionately for my country. Singapore. There were a few drops running down my cheek actually. haha.
i am emo. really.
haiz.
oko....i shall blab somemore on another day. too long lah the entry.
o yah, nice or not my new skin? haha. finally something that can fit my huge pictures in my entries!!!
